Baseball Gregg is a Pop duo from Stockton by way of Italy. Founders Luca Lovisetto and Samuel Regan met in Bologna, the former a native of the city and the latter a student studying abroad. Luca's saccharine vignettes about love and longing mesh with Sam's vivid depictions of a perspective inundated by intensive experience. The EP is beautifully produced, traditional rock instrumentation filtered through lush choruses and cascading reverbs. The EP offers a little something for everyone, from the rollicking romantics of "Mathdance" to the Wire-esque minimalism of "Tunnel Vision.". Recommended for lovers of offbeat indie pop that might also enjoy glam rock theatrics and a hint of punk shamble. [John Steiner]
